Toddler- Baby Made Birthday Card

We love hand print projects at our house. When there's a birthday, we try to find creative ways to create birthday cards that the littles can partake in. Hand and foot print cards work out great! They feel like they've played a major role in the creation of the card, and with a little help from the mom, it's a keepsake we think the recipient will leave out for some time. In this version, we have made a print of the little's feet and hands to make party hats and a cake.
Baby E loved he way the paint felt as I painted his foot. He was giggling the entire time. I printed the first foot print on the finished paper card. The rest of the prints were done on separate sheets of paper and cut to fit the accordion folded card.
Little A, Also enjoyed having her hand and foot painted. When all was dried, I went over the prints with a fine point pen to try to make the foot prints look like party hats and the hand print - - sans thumb - - to look like a birthday cake. I also added a pom pom to the front of the card.

I added some celebratory words, and this is what became of our endeavor. The littles loved it so much, they just wanted to play with it.

Happy Birthday!
